“Man’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.” So said Oliver Wendall Holmes Jr and echoed by Jeff Prouty of The Prouty Project.
Jeff Prouty is the chairman and founder of The Prouty Project, an Eden Prairie-based firm specializing in strategic planning and organization, board and team development.
The annual Prouty Stretch Expedition hosts clients and friends of The Prouty Project to travel abroad for a physical adventure or humanitarian project. This year 18 people traveled to Morocco.
Members of the Prouty team encourage clients to leave the office behind for corporate retreats and team building meetings. But you don’t have to venture as far as Morocco to benefit. The Prouty team routinely travels down the hall to their own think tank room located at their Eden Prairie offices or brings clients to the Collaborative Leadership Center at Sugar Lake Lodge for custom business training and team building activities. While Morocco is exotic and fascinating, Prouty notes you can’t beat the two minute walk to the think tank or the two-and-a-half-hour drive to Sugar Lake. “You get the same benefit of stretching in an off-site environment,” said Jeff. “And there’s no jet lag.”
The Prouty Project is a Collaborative Partner at the Collaborative Leadership Center at Sugar Lake Lodge. You can also catch a feature on Jeff and his extraordinary adventures in a recent feature on the “Life to the Max” show.
