Retreat Challenge: Build teamwork among 63 store managers and executive officers
Strategy: Work with The Prouty Project at an off-site location for complete focus.
The Plan and Result:
PAL Management founder Brad Rixmann worked with organization development pro Peter Bailey of The Prouty Project on a custom business training agenda that guided the group to work together to address business issues. Rixmann also believed the team had to go off-site to focus. “I wanted to be away from our office to push the team out of their comfort zone,” said Rixmann. The result? The PAL Management retreat at the Collaborative Leadership Center at Sugar Lake Lodge was a success according to Rixmann. There was time for communication between all the PAL Management entities and opportunities for personal reflection on improving daily routines. The event was balanced with the group having fun, too by taking advantage of all the retreat center offered, including using the pontoons and golf course and socializing at the on site grill and bar.
